Beachgoers in Canandaigua took advantage of Saturday's nice weather, now that two beaches have reopened after closing down due to blue-green algae concerns.

Deep Run Beach and Onanda Park Beach both temporarily closed this week, but opened back up just in time for the Labor Day weekend.

This is something beachgoers say they're grateful for.

"We were a little disappointed earlier this week we couldn't use the beach, but that's part of life you know," said Jack Narosky, who brought his grandson to Deep Run Beach on Saturday.

"We finally got a nice sunny day, we're enjoying the sand and the water," Narosky said.

The State Health Department is still urging swimmers to be alert of any algae blooms.
