Algae numbers have been decreasing.
People visiting Lake Inverell need to watch their pets and water users should refrain from coming into contact with the water.
In conjunction with Inverell Shire Council, WaterNSW are continuing to monitor the algae situation at Inverell.
The Red Alert at Macintyre River at Inverell has reduced to an Amber Alert.
Park users along the Macintyre River should watch their pets closely and not let them drink the water.

Most of the major water storages in the Barwon RACC area are on Amber Alert.
These are Pindari, Copeton, Split Rock, Keepit and Malpas Dams. Namoi River at Walgett remains on Amber Alert.
Chaffey Dam is on Green alert. Manila River below Split Rock Dam and the Namoi River below Keepit are on Green Alert Macintyre River at Boggabilla Weir is on Green alert.
Algae concentrations in most areas of the Barwon appear to be reducing. Water users in the Barwon region still should be vigilant as algae production can occur quickly.
