Are you as outraged at this Japanese ‘research’?

Japan has angered the many around the world again after their “scientific research” saw the death of 333 minke whales in the Antarctic.

A statement filed by the Fisheries Agency stated, “Since a majority of both the males and females taken were mature, this indicates that the species is reproducing healthily”.

Even with growing criticism from the global community, Japan is still committed to fishing almost 4,000 whales over the next 12 years as part of it’s “research program”. The aims of this program is to allow Japan to resume commercial whaling.

The humane Society International released a statement condemning the actions.  The statement wrote, “There is no robust scientific case for slaughtering whales”.  It added, “Commercial whaling in this, or any other disguise, does not meet any pressing human needs and should be relegated to the annals of history.”

While the Japanese make a lot headlines for their “research” Norway has also kicked off its minke whale hunt and raised it’s quota to almost 1,000 whales according to RT.

Should whaling still be allowed?
