Baby Dolphin dies because of people’s selfie obsession once again! Watch tragic video

The world has become selfie obsessed, and this obsession has been claiming many lives. Many people have lost their lives trying to take selfies on train tracks and oceans, but one heartbreaking news last year was the death of a baby dolphin because of tourists trying to take pictures with it. A similar event occurred in San Bernando, 200 miles south of Buenos Aires when a Baby Dolphin surfaced near the shore. Tourists pulled the dolphin out of the water and began clicking pictures with the poor aquatic mammal.

A report in La Capital stated that the baby dolphin was pulled from the ocean by many tourists in San Bernando. A video of this event shows how the baby dolphin was pulled out of the water by tourists who could have pushed it back into the waters.

The baby dolphin came near the shore of the ocean when bystanders began petting the dolphin and clicking pictures and videos. The baby dolphin got the paparazzi attention from the tourists and died at the shore. “He was young and came to the shore. They could have returned him to the water—in fact, he was breathing. But everyone started taking photos and touching him. They said he was already dead.”, a bystander explained in the report.

The tourists claimed that the dolphin was not breathing when it surfaced by the shores. The tourists have been trying to justify their inhuman act which was triggered by the obsession of posting attractive pictures on social media. While we condemn this sad event that claimed yet another innocent life, it is high time we question the choices made in this selfie-obsessed world.
