Joining several other lakes in the Finger Lakes, blue green algae has been reported on Conesus Lake.
The blooms have been found in areas across the lake, Livingston County officials say.
The county’s Department of Health is monitoring the blooms and may collect water samples if blooms are “concentrated and persistent.
“The public water supply is safe for drinking,” Livingston County officials write.
