THEY SAY THE ALGAE WAS FOUND IN A WATER SAMPLE TAKEN ON JULY8. 2 HEALTH LEADERS REPORT IT IS BEST NOT TO DRINK, SWIM IN, OR USE ANY KIND OF WATERCRAFTS ON THE LAKE WHEN THERE IS A VISIBLE BLOOM. The Florida Department of Health in Seminole County is reporting harmful blue-green algae toxins in Lake Jesup.They say the algae was found in a water sample taken on July 28.Health leaders say it's best to not drink, swim or use any kind of watercraft on the lake when there is a visible bloom.If you do go in the water, make sure you clean your clothes and skin thoroughly to get rid of any leftover algae.
