DOUBLE YES, DAISY, WINFIELD IS IN A DIFFERENT AREA, BUT THERE ARE DEALING WITH A DIFFERENT PROBLEM. BUT FOR MORE THAN 1,200 CUSTOMERS, IT’S THE SAME INCONVENIENCE. CHRIS: A STEADY FLOW OF CARS QUEUED UP AT GREENFIELD LUMBER, EACH DRIVER, GETTING A PACK OF CLEAN BOTTLED WATER. >> I’M VERY THANKFUL. BECAUSE THE WATER FLOWING OUT OF THIS TOWN’S TAPS IS NOT SAFE TO DRINK. CHRIS: PEOPLE LIKE DOTTIE PHILLIPS CAN’T EVEN BOIL IT. >> IT PUTS A DENT IN EVERYTHING YOU DO AS FAR AS DISHES, EVERYDAY LIVING, BRUSHING YOUR TEETH. CHRIS: THE REASON? THIS NASTY STUFF. BLUE-GREEN ALGAE. IT’S INFESTED THE CITY’S WATER SOURCE, GREENFIELD LAKE. AND WHEN YOU BOIL IT, IT ONLY MAKES THE ALGAE MORE CONCENTRATED. >> IT IS A BIG THING, IT’S VERY CONCERNING. >> WE’VE BEEN MANNING THE PLANT PRETTY MUCH 24 HOURS A DAY CHRIS: GREENFIELD MUNICIPAL UTILITIES G.M. SCOTT TONDERUM SAYS, THE CITY IS WAITING ON TEST RESULTS TO HELP PINPOINT AN EXACT CAUSE. THOSE WILL NOT COME IN UNTIL WEDNESDAY EVENING. >> WE’RE TAKING IT ONE DAY AT A TIME NOW. CHRIS: TONDERUM SAYS, BLUE-GREEN ALGAE IS A NEW PROBLEM HERE, BUT ONCE RESULTS COME IN, HE SAYS HE WILL LOOK AT PREVENTATIVE MEASURES. >> WE CAN CHANGE OUR TREATMENT PROCESS, WORK ON GETTING THE SYSTEM FLUSHED OUT, WHATEVER WE NEED TO DO. CHRIS: BUT FOR NOW, DOTTIE PHILLIPS HAS COME UP WITH A CREATIVE WAY TO AVOID THE TAP. >> WHAT WE DID WAS PUT TAPE OVER THE SPIGOT SO THAT WAY YOU DON’T FORGET. DELTA HE SAYS HE DOES NOT KNOW WHEN GREENFIELD WILL HAVE CLEAN WATER -- CLEAN WATER AGAIN, THE CITY IS WORKING WITH THE DNR. RESIDENTS CAN STILL WASH THEIR HANDS, SHOWER AND DO LAUNDRY,
