AN ALGAE which is fatal to animals and harmful to humans has been spotted at Duncan Mills Memorial Slipway and Drumkinnon Bay in Alexandria.
Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National park put out the warning for pet-owners to take special care around the waters as the naturally occurring blue-green algae can be dangerous.
It can produce toxins that can kill dogs and other animals and in humans can cause rashes after skin contact and illnesses if swallowed.
If the algae is spotted, please contact the Scottish Environment Protection Agency on 030000 996699.
