Dolphin spotted swimming around Dublin’s River Liffey as DSPCA say weather ‘possibly affecting his sonar’

A DOLPHIN is swimming around Dublin's River Liffey this morning.

Software developer Darren Farrelly spotted the adventurous mammal in the water.

He made the discovery near the Citibank building on North Wall Quay.

Darren took to social media and shared a video of the dolphin.

The DSPCA said they will be monitoring the dolphin's movements.

They tweeted: "We have been in touch with marine animal rescue, the weather is possibly affecting his sonar.

"He should return by himself but we will be monitoring the situation."

Last week, two killer whales were spotted off the Irish coast.
