Dolphins filmed swimming in St Ives harbour

A pod of common dolphins has been captured on film swimming in a Cornish harbour.

Tony Mason saw the rare sight in his home town of St Ives on Friday morning.

He said it was unusual to see the creatures so close to the town.

"I have lived here more than 50 years and not seen them in there and haven't heard from anyone who has," Mr Mason said.

"It surely can't be the first time, but maybe it's the first time for a while, in daylight, and in this easy-filming day and age."
