CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — UPDATE:
Crews investigating a possible spill near Ross's Landing Monday found it was actually algae, and not hazardous, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department.
The fire department says all personnel have since left the scene.
PREVIOUSLY:
The Chattanooga Fire Department is on the scene of a possible spill in the Tennessee River Monday afternoon.
This is near Ross's Landing, and also near where a barge sunk into the river a few weeks ago.
Crews tell our crew on the scene they are putting out containment booms, just in case. As of 1:30 p.m., they have not determined whether a spill has actually happened.
