BARNSTABLE -- Members of the International Fund for Animal Welfare spent Saturday rescuing dolphins that were stranded in shallow water off a remote part of Sandy Neck in Barnstable.

A total of 10 dolphins were stranded Saturday, according to IFAW. There were two groups; one group of six and another group of four.

"They re-floated back out and our team used herding techniques to encourage them out to deeper water," IFAW said. "

Two dolphins re-stranded in Barnstable Harbor. Officials checked the dolphins and they were later released at Scusset Beach later that afternoon.
