BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) - It was a busy day in Barnstable as rescuers raced to the aid of 10 dolphins stranded on Sandy Neck.

Rescuers from the International Fund for Animal Welfare spent Saturday working to help get the dolphins off the beach.

The group’s spokeswoman Kerry Branon told the Cape Cod Times (https://bit.ly/2aExrHG ) that the team arrived on the scene and helped refloat the dolphins, but two of them stranded themselves again in Barnstable Harbor.

Branon said that by late afternoon, the two dolphins had been successfully released at Scusset Beach in Sandwich.

The group was continuing to keep an eye out for the remaining eight dolphins in case they strand themselves again.

A crew of bystanders helped keep the dolphins wet until rescuers showed up.
