The life of another innocent dolphin has been stolen by the stupidity of humankind.

According to Argentina newspaper La Capital, tourists reportedly dragged a baby dolphin from the ocean in San Bernardo.

In a video posted to YouTube Sunday, a group of people are shown crowding the aquatic mammal flushed out of the water, where they petted him and took selfies.

“They let him die,” one observer told C5N. “He was young and came to the shore. They could have returned him to the water — in fact, he was breathing. But everyone started taking photos and touching him. They said he was already dead.”

According to National Geographic, the incident is the second time in the past year a dolphin’s life was taken by tourists snatching selfies.

In February 2016, a La Plata dolphin died of dehydration after being passed around for pictures by visitors in Santa Teresita.

“Social media has changed the landscape, making exotic animals seem adorable and acceptable, but what you don’t see is the suffering that lies behind the images,” National Geographic said in a statement last year.

“Slow lorises, raccoon dogs, and pygmy marmosets are just a few of the wild animals that have become famous by posing and interacting with people on YouTube and other social media sites.”
