A group of kayakers were in for a huge surprise this past weekend on San Francisco Bay. They came within yards of a cluster of humpback whales in a feeding frenzy, reports KGO.

It’s all on video and the event went on for about 45 minutes. Experts told ABC7 News the whales were probably attracted to the abundance of herring in the bay.
