Leisure activities will once again be permitted, with the exception of swimming.

The seasonal weather shift has led to an improvement in the blue algae situation which has plagued the Upper-Sûre lake.

On Thursday, the water management administration confirmed that analysis showed a sharp decline in the cyanobacteria found in the water, and that the concentration of toxins was no longer dangerous. The alert has therefore been lifted.

Recreational and sporting activities at the lake may now resume, with the exception of swimming, as the bathing season officially ended on 30 September.
